Carmen S. SaloméDistrict 75 Representative
Carmen Salomé has over 15 years experience working in various aspects of local government in Rochester, New York and Lee County Florida. For the past 10 years, Carmen has worked as an executive assistant for two Lee County Commissioners. As a commissioner assistant, she has been involved in the community and participated in several community initiatives. On her own initiative she developed and expanded a Hispanic professional email network that continually informs community leaders of important local government issues, opportunities, and events; engaging a segment of the community that may not otherwise be reached. Carmen has a thorough understanding of the inner workings of local government and is well known and respected by several local and state elected officials. Carmen is the past 2nd Vice President of Lee Republican Women Federated as well as serving in various committee positions. She is currently this area’s district representative for the Florida Federation of Republican Women and a founding member of the newly chartered Republican Women of Cape Coral, Federated. Carmen was instrumental for beginning the GED ministry at her church in 2007. She was the GED Ministry team leader until December 2014. Besides volunteering for her church, Carmen has volunteered on various citizen committees for the City of Cape Coral. She currently serves on the board of Freedom and Virtue Institute, and was most recently asked to serve on the board of SWF Tiger Bay Club. Carmen has a MS degree in Management from Roberts Wesleyan College. She and her husband J.D. moved from Rochester, New York to Cape Coral, Florida in June 2004.
